Less than hoped for

Let me preface this by saying I reviewed Everflame 1 after completing both of the first two books. I awarded 4 stars and stand by that review. However, I found Everflame 3 to be less.
There were writing errors in the first 2 books but the stories were so well told that I could overlooked them, not so with this book. The story was not as engaging and the errors were glaring. Peters seemed to ocassionally forget who/what he was writing about and would change names mid paragraph. There are a few passages that still have me scratching my head in confusion. I'm willing to grant an author room to grow but I think that errors of this nature should be gone by the time you have reached the 3rd book in a series...please find a good editor!
Furthermore, the inspiring personal ideals exhibited in books one and two were missing in this installment. I felt that Peters was more interested in inserting his own political and personal worldview rather than being content to allow his characters to tell the story they were meant to tell. The overall message of faith in nothing but self seemed forced and in conflict with the previous books.
I still want to know how the story ends, I feel invested now and will read book 4 when it is available. But, had this been the 1st book instead of the 3rd I would have walked away from the series. I encourage other readers to decide for themselves, mine is but one opinion. The story line is still interesting, I am just disappointed in the development at this point.

Great 3rd book. Can't wait for the next one

This book continues the adventures of Evercloud and his companions and their struggles against the plotting of the tyrant god. This book is just as enthralling as the previous two in the series.

Deep compelling story

Got the first book free... Figuring it was better than having nothing to read during a long flight... I quickly ended up buying books 2 and 3. An amazing story.
