About the Author
Jennifer Inglis has studied comedy writing at the Training Center of The Second City and is a member of the Chicago Writer's Association. An alumna of Northern Illinois University, Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree in Theater Arts and recently earned her master's degree in Education. Most recently, she worked as a public school teacher, instructing her students in English Language Arts and Drama, and has worn a variety of hats in professional theater in suburban Chicago, including that of playwright, actor, director and producer. Laugh out loud funny

This book has so much that people can relate to, especially if you're middle aged woman. I often had to find someone to read parts to out loud because I HAD to share it. It's a refreshing change to read this style of book. Keep them coming Jennifer!

A Great Read! At last!

If you are like me, you spend a lot of time looking for good books and end up being disappointed. Finally the search is over! This is a great little book with so much heart that it renewed my faith in Ebooks. I laughed out loud and saw a little bit of myself in the wonderful little 'slices of life' stories. The only sad part is I read the whole darn thing in a few days and now I want more!! If you want a good laugh, read this book! And Ms Inglis if you read this, please write more! Can't wait for the next book!

This collection of stories is perfect reading for this summer (or fall, or winter, or spring, depending on when you read this review). The stories are insightful, observant, and real. They are also funny. Real funny. And that's the best quality to have for a book like this. She knows when to make a point, when to land a joke, and when to move on to the next idea, making the transitions between stories nice and smooth. I highly recommend this book, especially if you're looking for some escapism. Now, I don't consider calling a book a "light read" or "fast read" derogatory. If this were the sequel to Les Miserables (I'd like to see that, especially since everyone's pretty much dead at the end), then it might not be in the best taste. But when it comes to memoirs and storytelling, like Sedaris, to me, it's a compliment. And that's all I want to do, is give this book as many compliments as I can. Enjoy!
